Freezer Meals

What it looked like when we began (there was actually more food then this as most of mine was still in the fridge).

We made in total 38 meals (55 meals actually as some meals were designed to have leftovers) in 5 hours!

What we made:
Teriyaki Chicken (4 batches)
Orange Chicken (4 batches)
Spaghetti meat sauce (6 batches)
Beef Stroganoff (6 batches)
Beef Stew (6 batches)
Chili (6 batches)

What it looked like when we were done:

I made 13 for myself, my Mom made 13 for herself and then we also made 12 for Peter & Angie.  Most meals can be thrown in the crock pot on low for 6-8 hours.  The chicken dishes go great with some rice and steamed veggies.

The Stroganoff, Beef Stew and Chili are recipes from my Crock Pot Busy Family Recipes cook book.  And the Spaghetti Meat Sauce is just my own recipe. We were planning on making Chicken Pot Pies and also Breakfast Burritos but we got too tired to do anymore.  So I'll probably make those tomorrow.

I only spent $100 on all the food I used to make 13 meals, and my Mom spent $300 to make 25 meals and bought mostly organic and gluten free items.

My Mom bought one of those food vacuum sealer's years ago with a bunch of bags to go with it and we used that to seal all the meals so they would stay fresh.

Overall it was a great success and I am really excited to take some of these meals with us this weekend to Portland and use in the future!  We are hoping to do this again next month too!
